Calculus
The subject of Calculus is one of those things that makes a student think in a whole different way. It is suddenly all about limits, so you need the old skills, but the whole environment is new. It sometimes feels like the world turned upside down. I can help you with that! One thing that I have found very often is that the troubles students have with Calculus stem from a weak Algebra foundation. That is my specialty. I am also someone who really enjoys derivatives and integrals and all the rules and the tricks. I can share my enthusiasm for this subject with the students.
AP Calculus BC or AB or Equivalent College Calculus
I am very good at explaining Calculus. For most of the topics, I understand them deeply and can explain them. There are some topics, especially in BC (aka Calc 2) where I will need to do some studying to get ready to help. There are sometimes even going to be things that I need to look up during the session. However, I have tutored several Calculus students, from District 203, Benet, College of DuPage, Joliet Junior College, and more. It has always worked out very well. When I have tutored Calculus at the COD Math Assistance Centers, students commented that they wished I would teach Calculus! If you need help with Calculus, I hope you will give me a try.
