Trigonometry and Precalculus
This is an area of mathematics that goes by different names. Also, some schools put the Trig with Algebra 2 and others put Trig with Precalculus. No matter how it is packaged, I can handle it! In Naperville 203, there are Trig/Precalculus and Honors Trig/Precalculus. In Naperville 204, there is the part of Trig that is grouped with Algebra II Trig or Honors Algebra II Trig, followed by either PreCalculus or Honors PreCalculus. College of Dupage has the precalculus course 1431 and the Trig course 1432. And I am sure there are many other ways this can be found.
Understanding Where Precalculus Is Headed
Because I tutor Calculus, I am also very skilled at Precalculus. I know what it is going to be used for next. I have experience tutoring regular and honors in both Naperville districts. Is anyone working on the Ferris Wheel Problem? That is “no problem” for me!
Trigonometry - A New Favorite
If you read this whole website, you may see that I have already declared Algebra to be my favorite math, however, Trig is also quite a favorite of mine. In Trig, I have a very deep understanding of some topics that give students trouble, and as a result, I can provide explanations that make sense and clear up the fog. Some of these are:
- The Unit Circle
- Trig Identities
- Graphing trig functions
- And More
